John Berger will be in conversation with Gareth Evans to discuss La Vie est Tranquille by Robert Guédiguian.
Guédiguian's film is an intimately observed urban drama that ultimately portrays contemporary Marseilles as anything but a quiet town. Skillfully interweaving his characters, Guédiguian captures the minutiae of everyday life for a group of people whose personal circumstances are pushing them closer to the edge.
